Small Tweaks

Although the central place for design discussion is ##crawl-dev on freenode, some may find it helpful to discuss requests and suggestions here first.

Small Tweaks

The reason we don't have potion throwing (fulsome distillation) is long gone so can we have it now? Just give us a functionally identical version of evaporate and everyone will be happy. :)

Also can we remove ammo? It's sort of pointless and "use a melee weapon on bats to save ammo!" doesn't really any any dept and is almost as laughably annoying as nausea was.

Was this mistakenly posted in GDD when it was intended for CYC?
A Google Doc I wrote up in regards to making a new 'workable' definition for the Roguelike Genre:
Defining the Roguelike Genre

For this message the author Davion Fuxa has received thanks:

Re: Small Tweaks

One of my favorite things about Crawl is that it feels like you're actually living in the dungeon. You have to conserve food and ammo and your other supplies if you want to survive, and getting rid of ammo gets rid of that realism.

(I kind of liked evaporate, but devs will be devs)

Re: Small Tweaks

As evap and fulsome went away in the same commit, I suspect the devs thought about leaving evaporate.
I am not a very good player. My mouth is a foul pit of LIES. KNOW THIS.
