Generic ghost-like uniques.

Generic ghost-like uniques.

There is a pretty exciting conception of ghosts of failed players, but may be something very similiar could be also fun.
May be not, because that's very similiar to existing feature.

Proposal: with some chance, when non-unique monster kills player's character, it gets generated name and saved. Then other characters can find it in dungeon.
Also it gets some improvement, dependant on monster's state (like equip/buffs/whatever). Ogre with +5/+5 flaming GSC would get same/better (in matter of pluses) weapon, berserked blademaster can use berserk (always berserked?), simple orc who were lucky enough to land killing blow to surrounded adventurer gets a pack of ex-friends, hydra gets some additional heads (may be too much of special case, for humanoids it works perfectly) etc. May be also some +hp/ac/ev/dmg (mostly because non-humanoids cant use equip usually).
You dont get any loot (if that matters, its anti-scumming element and can be changed).

Reasoning?
* Only way to become non-nameless for simple creature in Crawl is being converted by HOPr and surviving long enough. Not fair, because most monsters die horribly without much chance versus human-controled steamroller. Die horribly for sake of our fun.
* It gives kind of ideologically different flavour. Ghost is failed player. GGLU is reason why player failed. It gives you chance to prevail vs threat other failed to handle. Theoretically, ghost you see could kill some players already, but considering statistics, its really rare occasion. GGLU ensure it.
* For local player it can be a nice chance to revenge. Or lose another character in same stupid way.
* It can bring some cool branch-specific monsters to other places, if system would differ from ghost-system and be more like unique-system. Or earlier than player should normally face them. Or bring it at all, because some deadly monster/state combinations could be really rare.

P.S. This post is dedicated to nameless deep elf master archer, who found FDA + some ring (or they cant wear rings and that were artifact armor?) with rF and rElec and thus became second encounter in game by interesity after Cerebov to my fire/air elementalist.
What would be fun is a God who uses piety like a fighting game style super meter. Piety decays rapidly outside of combat, builds up during fights, spend it for secret techniques and super moves.

If the idea gets approved, please provide a way to disable the changes. I always delete player ghosts (playing locally), it would be very inconvenient to re-install crawl to get rid of the improved monsters.
