a) you don't need that many resistances. swappable rF and rC (one pip) will do for most of the time, though inherent will be easier.

b) I don't think there's actually any change to item generation, other than side effects from things like amulet of cFly being removed.

c) by the time you're in extended, you don't care about being abyssed other than nuisance value. (MR is still good, but not for that).

Hmm..
I'm following on the development of trunk version quite closely, and I read virtually all commits to the git repository, and I don't remember seeing any changes to randart/item generation algorithms..
So unless I missed something big, this is just a "clustering illusion".
Of course Your points for each effect stand, but I'm almost sure rarity of those effects did not change..

No. It was not a joke, actually. Your response is condescending and demeaning, which is not at all in line with encouraging newer players to participate in the forum community.

See invis and rElec are harder to get because the spells were removed.
