Contam items (trunk) and melding

In trunk, contam items only make you glow when you unequip them. This triggers even when the item slots are melded due to a form shift: e.g. my vampire got glow because the ring slot is melded while in bat form and I wore a Contam ring.

Is this the desired outcome of Contam items and equipment melding?

Certainly not. Other wield and unwield effects don't happen upon melding or unmelding.
