Allies and Ally control is pretty much missing from the documentation.

Suggested subtopics might include
1) What are allies vs. neutrals

2) How one gains allies
- distinguish between temporary and permanent

3) What allies do for you (and the reduced XP involved in such)

4) Controlling allies
- being more specific on the 't' and 'Ctrl-T' keys and how to transfer / assign equipment, etc.

Some monsters can be friendly; friendly monsters will follow you around and fight on your behalf (you gain half the normal experience points for any kills they make). You can command your allies using the 't' key, which lets you shout to attract them or tell them who to attack, or else tell them to stay where they are or to follow you again. You can also shout to get the attention of all monsters in range if, for some reason, you want to do that. Your allied monsters may or may not pick up items from the ground - you can set their behaviour with the 'Ctrl-T' command.
