That's just splitting hairs. Strictly speaking an arming sword is a type of longsword, and there's really not much difference in the definitions to begin with - everyone understands what is meant by longsword, arming sword is a less known term. Also, bastard sword is not exactly the same as longsword, it's just a generic name for any hand-and-half swords.

It's not the wavy blade... a flambard has a longer blade than a greatsword, thus giving it more leverage and better range. Really, the flambard could just as well be a zweihänder, although flambard has a better sound to it IMO.
