Zigsprint and Nemlex

Although the central place for design discussion is ##crawl-dev on freenode, some may find it helpful to discuss requests and suggestions here first.

Zigsprint and Nemlex

In the 5th Sprint map, is it intended that the massive pile of free equipment in the starting room be available for sacrificing to Nemlex? Because it makes the rest of the run pretty easy, as far as I can tell.

Though I think I ruined my game when fooling around with the dungeon deck.. the whole room turned into water and the exit trap is gone.

It's far, far, far more abusable with Jiyva than with Nemelex.

To expand on this:

With Jiyva, you get a whole pile of sacrifices that will give you infinite free health forever and it is almost impossible to drop below full for more than a turn if you're at all careful. You also have to scroll through pages of mutations every turn. It is hard not to win if you are trying to do so.

With Nemelex, you get some decks.

Re: Zigsprint and Nemlex

After 200 turns, only about 10% of the ammo had been eaten, and my mutatiosn were:

  Code:
You have a pair of small antennae on your head.
You have a beak for a mouth.
You have sharp fingernails.
You are mostly covered in yellow scales (AC +2, rAcid+).
Your mind is acute (Int +1).
You are resistant to electric shocks.
You can spit poison.
Your muscles are strong (Str +1).
Your spells are a little harder to cast, but a little more powerful.

They change constantly -- it's good but not amazingly so.

I do notice that my nutrition is at max -- are you saying that it and my HP increase whenever a jelly eats?

yes, the mutations are pointless. They don't matter a speck. The 'constant maxhp' effect, on the other hand, is beyond insane.

Yeah, Chei is easymode in zigsprint.

The thing about Nemelex is that you can do this in the first room:
Miscellaneous
k - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
o - a legendary deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
p - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
z - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
A - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
B - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
C - a legendary deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
J - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
K - a legendary deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
M - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
N - a legendary deck of wonders {drawn: 1} (in hand) {god gift}
V - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
W - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
X - a legendary deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
Y - an ornate deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}
Z - a legendary deck of wonders {drawn: 1} {god gift}

Cash them in, then convert to whatever god you really wanted.

Haven't played zigsprint yet; why is Chei awesome there?
