This is not constructive criticism. Just saying it's not going to work without any of your thought behind it is worthless.

How is that worthless? How is it not constructive? I said it wont work, and why.

In fact I think any kind of item protection that lets the player chose which items to protect is too inconvenient. There already are two items that protect all your consumables from destruction (with 90% chance). I think that is enough. If item destruction bothers you that much you could propose making these items generate more often, instead of suggesting something that would be finicky and annoying and would take some work to implement. I don't think generating more conservation items is necessary, especially with jelly respawns probably getting disabled in 0.10. One thing that might be interesting is adding conservation as a rare randart property. As I said, I don't think it's necessary.

Thanks for the response. Actually, I don't have many problems with conservation. It's annoying, but it's just something that's going to happen. This was an idea thread in response to minmay's thread.

Bags of holding are on the "will never do" list, and these items are similar enough that I am sure the devs would not consider them.
