Ashenzari vs Spellbooks

I consider the Ash changes to be a major improvement, but there's a quirk where it comes to acquiring spells. Because autopickup looks for unidentified spellbooks, and Ash identifies everything for you, autopickup no longer picks up spellbooks, even if you don't know the spells in the book. Books are a special case because autopickup doesn't provide an option to pick up identified spellbooks.

A special case could be hard-coded for Ash to autopickup spellbooks with unknown spells when autopickup is set to collect spellbooks. Practically, this is probably the best choice.

Alternately, Ash could identify items on pickup instead of items on the floor, but that would slightly reduce Ash's appeal in other situations, like if there's a novel consumable behind translucent rock, Ash allows an informed choice about whether or not to spend a digging charge, and this fix would deny that.

Finally, there's the option to change how autopickup works, so that spellbooks are treated similar to amulets, with each identified book being listed in known items and autopickup switched off when all of the spells it contains are learned. This, however, would clutter the known items list, even for non-Ash worshipers.
