I think it would be cool if there was some way to walk on lava. Part of the attraction of crawl is the power fantasy, and I'd imagine walking on lava just feels awesome.
Thematically it kindof fits Qazlal, with him being the god of elemental destruction. So... maybe Qaz could grant lava walking? (Beogh-style )

That exists already in the game. There is a potion, a ring, and two species that can get it guaranteed + one species that can get it with the right mutation. Its called "flight".
