Amnesia trap

An annoying trap, similar to a teleport trap or a pit that if entered causes you to forget the identity of 1-4 scrolls and/or potions.

(a way to keep scrolls of identity relevant later into the game)

No, this would lead to people writing down the color of the potions. Or something like that. No. Really. No.

Yeah even if it generated new fake appearences for all those items and made you like drop them or something (So you can't remember them by inventory slot)
there'd be still be leaks (which ones I'm carrying, how many)

Really it's not a reasonable idea for DCSS (it's not fun or interesting in nethack either)

If it is not a joke, then we need some traps which affect spell-less characters only for balance.
Underestimated: cleaving, Deep Elf, Formicid, Vehumet, EV
Overestimated: AC, GDS

Ascension reports with too many words since 2016.
