It replaces character's AC with character's EV so character with AC 30, EV 10 becomes character with AC 10, EV 30.
Meler characters are encouraged to become hybrids in light armour, mages pretend to be high AC tanks, hybrids ignore it, gargoyles are spprigans, spprigans are gargoyles. Can result in very unusual games IMHO.
