DCSS has many things that make it an appealing gaming experience but class is not one of them. Your character marches through an otherwise peaceful dungeon murdering its denizens in the quest for the fabled McGuffin Orb. Other than a few sweet hats DCSS lacks a certain je ne sais quoi...

I am proposing that the Amulet of the Gourmand add that extra flavor to an otherwise bland game by saying things like:

"This raw flesh has excellent mouth feel!"
"This raw flesh has that extra hint of umami!"
"This raw flesh is fork tender!"
"This raw flesh is a symphony of flavors!
"This raw flesh is particularly mouthwatering!"
"This raw flesh is sinful!"
"This raw flesh is particularly redolent!"
"This raw flesh is uniquely unctuous!"
"This raw flesh just falls off the bone!"
"This raw flesh is orgasmic!"

Since the amulet takes time to ramp up in providing nutritional value these statements would replace the "This raw flesh tastes great!" and not the other statements leading up till the full nutrition that you would receive.

It also probably wouldn't make lore sense for creatures that start with or acquire the gourmand mutation to have these statements although I wouldn't be opposed. Foodie trolls anyone?

I would be willing to make at least 100ish unique statements to add to the game and suggestions are more than welcome.

Counterproposal : give these statements to Halflings for every kind of food.
