Stop recommending bad weapon choices

M&F, Axes, Long blades, and Polearms are all approximately equally good. However, Hill Orcs have all three recommended when they have a +3 in axes and only +1 in the other three, but all three are recommended. Merfolk have a +4 in polearms and long blades are still recommended? This lunacy must end. If a races apts in one of these four schools beat the other ones, or as a more conservative suggestion, if it beats one of the weapon apts by a difference of 2, that should be the only recommended weapon.

Also can we add aptitudes to the menu?
Even if the difference is just 1, it is still useful to know it without consulting manual.

Also, SpHu/SpAM only recommends the sling, despite crossbows being unambiguously better.

Martial Spriggans also are not recommended polearms, which makes sense if you look at aptitudes but not if you know what polearms are actually used for.

I wouldn't say it's unambiguous. For a SpHu against a Leopard Gecko, the crossbow deals 2.4 aveffdam, and the sling deals 2.2. But there is also the greater availability of early ammo for the sling in the form of stones. On the other hand the crossbow has better long-term options with an arbalest. I can't say which would be truly better for a SpHu to start with. If the SpHu with a crossbow runs out of bolts before finding a sling, it would have pretty weak melee and nothing would be "popcorn." The sling might be safer purely for reasons of ammo.

The problem with martial spriggans and polearms is the weapon choices, you have spear for one handed, and trident as two handed for most of the game until you pick up a demon trident or trishula (which are both also two-handed)

It's hard to reasonably compare a two-handed trident on a spriggan to say, a one-handed morningstar or eveningstar, or a one handed scimitar or demon blade (or a two handed double blade) while the trident does a lot less damage, you can step back and poke a large majority of things throughout a lot of the game without any risk.

I would say for the intended audience (new players who don't have a firm grasp of tactics yet) the recommendation is probably appropriate.
