Harpoon Shot should be range 8

Since its purpose is to force players into melee and prevent them from running away, it shouldn't be neutralized by, well, running away.

I think it is good when player has a chance to read scroll of teleportation before it is adjacent to 3 monsters.
Underestimated: cleaving, Deep Elf, Formicid, Vehumet, EV

Autoexplore harpoons are going to happen no matter what the range is, since autoexplore doesn't avoid turning corners (and is unlikely to ever do so). I don't think increasing the range is going to make them much more frequent.

If you let one follow you around, harpoon shot can be used for running away (from other things.)
