Comparable to Banishment in power, but without checking MR and without the possibility of encountering the walled-off entity in the Abyss.

If you can't put a wall between the too-powerful-to-fight enemy and the rest of the dungeon, you can wall it in with you and then teleport/passwall/trapdoor/self-shaft yourself out.

If the intent was "tactical walls" -- like one that blocks LOS for one aut, which you then blow up with LRD on the next aut -- then they should have an Invocations-based duration like Zin's Imprision.

Yes, it's comparable to Lugonu's Banish and Zin's Imprison - and if it's the main ability of a god, it should be comparable in strength. But it's not strictly better - line of fire means you can't wall behind an enemy, and enemy movement means they rarely have a wall directly behind them while not next to the player.

Seems strictly better to me.

Take the scenario "I've retreated to a corridor but there's just one square between us now and I can't even".

Lugonu: roll vs. MR.

Zin: Hope the key square you need is walled, get out of LOS before it expires. (A danger at low Invo, iirc.)

Cellus: Threat neutralized with 100% confidence.

...and I just noticed that it's a 0.2 aut ability. So at 0-1 piety per cast you can draw a new wall straight across a room, growing it in both directions faster than anything can move, to neutralize a monster in the open.

The idea of making temporary walls is potentially interesting, though the numbers need serious tweaking.

My issue with it is "Spells as god abilities" are pretty boring, I'd rather not have "LRD, but invo"

If the uplifted wall will disappear after X auts, it's not too OP.
Deprecate: Using air magic, flying, weapons of elec and air evocables instead of digging (Cellus prefers that you keep your feet on the ground).
+Passive AC boost to balance the loss.

Please, no. Dith just had the anti-fire conduct removed, to much rejoicing.
