Ogres don't "have an excellent grasp of magic".

Has this been changed in trunk?

Yeah, Ogre's magic abilities got buffed for sure. But I think their description is extremely misleading. They are mediocre spellcasters (not bad, not amazing). The description makes it sound like they were Gandalf or something

Deep Elves' "strong affinity for all kinds of magic" sounds tame in comparison.

The old description that said that they were "comfortable with the basics of spellcasting" seems more accurate.

I think something along those lines would be better. Make them "comfortable with spellcasting" instead of just basic spellcasting or say they have "an moderate grasp of magic" instead of an excellent one.

I think new players need a strong push to use magic as an Ogre, because it doesn't fit in with their expectations that well. Granted this is a more general problem (how do we convince players to train fighting on book backgrounds?), but still, I think "most ogres end up casting, at a minimum, support magic, because of their alright aptitudes and their inability to use most armor" needs to be conveyed somehow.

By repeatedly taking away all of their hitpoints.
