Allow felids wield weapons in tree form

Allow felids wield weapons in tree form

Allow felids wield weapons and shield in tree form.

It's really weird that they cannot do that, because they have the same tree form's tile like by other characters, who can wield weapons in this form.

We could even allow felids train weapon skills in tree form.

While this makes sense from a flavor perspective, it's absolutely terrible and goes completely against DCSS' design philosophy. At best, it does nothing because no felid would ever bother training weapon skill for this, and at worst, it could in some bizarre situations encourage felids who have a potion of lignification to also carry around a weapon they can equip if they use it.

If this is really an issue, the solution is to give felids their own tree form tile, not to allow them to wield weapons in tree form.

There used to be a funny bug that let all races wield giant clubs because trees could do that (they were large, like ogres). Now trees can't do that. Now for your pleasure, a Felid in Tree Form:

Why do felid claws meld in tree form but troll claws do not?

I just want to point out that the actual Hideo Kojima would absolutely include this feature in Crawl. And winning Spriggan with a GSC was a fun bug.

That said, while removeely's note should probably be looked at (file a bug report?), I think Qaz is right, HK. It'd be a newbie trap at best and an incredible source of tedium at worst, and it's hard to see any benefit besides "it'd be neat."

Clearly the solution is a tree race. Give them evokable blink; you just have to hope you eventually land on the stairs you want. Should make the orb run a blast too.
