Show how much "damage" Flay is currently applying

Flaying is a unique status that does an incredibly high amount of damage that can be healed very quickly by killing the Flayed Ghost. Flaying can also frequently affect the character while they are being mobbed by other threats, hiding whether the player has taken a serious quantity of "real" damage with a single instance of Flay, or basically no damage with over 70% of their health removed via Flaying. This also adds to cognitive load, since the amount of damage done by Flaying requires you to track it turn by turn (it can't be seen at a glance and is an approximation via the combat log). This is pretty obviously undesirable, especially on characters who could make the very real decision between trying to escape or trying to simply blast the Flayed Ghost for the HP recovery.

While you are on it, I'd like to know which of the 2 flayed ghosts is casting flay on me atm.

Can one be flayed multiple times simultaneously?

Print current health like 57(123)/242. That should be intuitive, since rotting displays the same way with MHP. If showing both flaying and rot takes up too much space, only show the current (rotted) MHP - the normal MHP is not tactically important.

Then, add a line to xv for flayed ghosts along the lines of "currently flaying you for 32 HP" or something similar (there may be a better way to phrase that).

Can we have it displayed in message log also?
"Flayed ghost flays 32 HP from you".

In my experience it doesn't matter, just kill any flayed ghost to get all your flayed HP back.

I think it should be displayed on the status line like Flay(XXX), where XXX is the amount of HP you get back when the flay ends

Actually both options sound like a good way to get the information across. Though for the Flay(XXX) option, I'd suggest also turning the player's current HP some color (maybe varying shades of red) to indicate an active flay.

Make Flay remove HP from the left end of the HP bar.
