Proposal: Replace Fire Storm with Sunfire
At max spell power, 8d26 damage per turn in a wide range is no joke, and it provides fire vortices as some attraction, effectively softens a lot of threats in the extend game and outshine every other spell.
I think it's best to remake the level 9 Fire/Conjuration spell.
Sunfire
A partially irresistible fire based spell which result in multiple explosions with in 4-5 radius, which location can be chosen by the player.
Monsters without any fire resistance may be blinded shortly and any that are killed by the attack can possibly explode into flame, which act like inner flame.
The initial explosion is followed by flames covering ground and some flame clouds of less damage.
- The spell is needs to be irresistible to some degree, just so it's usable against fire immune monsters.
- Multiple small explosions is a method of differentiating the tactical positioning of this to other level 9 spells.
- The inner flame effects actually bring a offensive aspect to the spell. Against large groups, the dead front row then become the undoing for the following forces.
- Any blinding effect is to display the accumulating fire impeding movement.
