Arcane Marksman's Book Rework

Since Enslavement got removed AM suffered a huge(and fair) nerf. Though you can still play safely and without many problems the background now requires very tiresome playstyle in order to make progress.
To fix that, i propose two changes:

Give Tukima's Dance - Its pretty much the spell that replaced enslavement and its only fair for AM to have that spell on their book.

Merge Gell's and Leda's into a new spell: Geda's Shackles - this spell affects enemies in an 3x3 to 5x5 area, binding then, reducing their movement speed by 1 per other creature affected by it and making these creatures share a percentage of the damage they take with the others. Casting this spell again removes the previous shackles.

You seriously have to wonder why arcane marksmen don't have portal projectile. It's like, you make a class that throws projectiles and has magic to aid them, and don't include the one spell that does that xD Maybe it's because they'd have to rename the book I guess.

AM is a very redundant background in general, it would need several new spells to be worth keeping in my opinion. Warpers would make a much more logical ranged start. This has actually been discussed before, not sure what the result was.

Why not and just combine the two :/ Seeing as we're on the subject of talking about reworking both books... Worked for nessos

Portal projectile doesnt have good sinergy with AM, its drains magic too quickly, its better off later on the game, not on the starting book. Blink could work, or giving Warpers a starting ranged weapon choice. Gell's is a ok spell, but makes the player give up on the ranged weapons and focus on spellcasting more. Leda's needs to go.

I have tried to use Gell's a few times and always my conclusion has been: it's totally ineffectual. What is it, like 1/3 of the damage of a fireball? As far as enemy repositioning goes, it's pretty lame there as well and barely moves them. Part of the problem is that an arcane marksman isn't going to have high spellpower for it.

Are you sure it does any damage? I tried to compare it with fireball and got this:

  Code:
Casting: Gell's Gravitas
Confirm with . or Enter, or press ? or * to list all spells.
Aiming: Gell's Gravitas
Press: ? - help, Dir - move target cursor, f/p - bat
Aim: a bat
Gravity reorients around the bat.
* * * LOW MAGIC WARNING * * *
The bat barely misses you.

Or was it changed recently? (I don't use the latest trunk).

Maybe it only does damage if creatures bump into each other?

I'll check it when I have a chance.

Yes, it only deals damage when creatures collide. The damage is remarkably small.

So, you're saying I can't use it to crush boggarts with stone giants? I was kind of looking forward to that.

I tried to test the spell and I keep getting "Spell fizzles" when targeting it near monsters. Why is the turn wasted? (I read in learnDB that the target tile should contain a monster) Should I report a bug?

You have to cast it on a target(center of the spell, not just inside AoE) that has another target adjacent to it, the purpose of the spell is to cause collision damage as it turns gravity to the target.
