alter box and sack charge mechanism and stack them

Although the central place for design discussion is ##crawl-dev on freenode, some may find it helpful to discuss requests and suggestions here first.

alter box and sack charge mechanism and stack them

A box of beasts or sack of spiders should have a flat chance of destroying itself (e.g. 10%) every time you (successfully?) evoke it.

Then, individual boxes and sacks would not be distinguishable by the number of time you've evoked them, and they should stack in your inventory.

Boxes and sacks are so common and have so many charges that you're likely to find a second one before you deplete your first one. So it's not a question of whether you will run out, so much as A) are you willing to carry more than 1, and if you're not, B) at what point do you ditch the somewhat-used one for a new one? These are not interesting decisions to make, but good play demands you make them.

It would also add a fun amount of randomness, e.g. you might deplete 2 sacks in a row the first time you use them.

It's also just funny that boxes are among Crawl's non-stackable items.

I don't think boxes have charges. I think it's a flat chance of destruction each cast...

Very well, then sacks should work like boxes and both should be stackable.

This could actually work for elemental evocables.

They recharge with experience as they do currently, but stack and have a small chance of burning out with each use.
