I propose adding an MR aptitude to the aptitudes list, located right after Exp, that indicates how much MR the species gets per level.

Some options for the display. N is the actual amount of MR the species gets per level:

  • Display N. So humans get +3, nagas get +5, and spriggans get +7
  • Display N-3. So humans get +0 here, nagas get +2, and spriggans get +4
  • Display N-5. So humans get -2 here, nagas get +0, and spriggans get +2
  • Display ((N-5)/5)*100%. So humans get -40% here, nagas get +0%, and spriggans get +40%

Spriggans are low-hp and low-ac, so they need MR to prevent paralysis more than other races do.

Why do Nagas then get +5? Or DD get +6?

It generally makes no sense to me. My guess is that monster spriggans are meant to have extra MR, so players do as well.

I started implementing this a while ago and then gave up because it required effort, patches welcome! Probably it's not actually super difficult with species-data.h being a thing, stealth modifier is another thing that could be displayed alongside it.

Nagas and spriggans are ~magic-affine~ and DD are ~defensive~
