This "feature" is incredibly obnoxious to anyone who knows what their spell letters are, especially if they use z.

It's useless, but not bothersome since if you cast spells by their letters you just never notice it.

Agreed. Would be nice to disable this.

Hey, I use this feature! However, I think you can map keybindings in the targeting interface via Ctrl-D. If you map Enter to ? or something like this, it should be possible to avoid such typos.

Maybe I'm missing something, dpeg, but remapping doesn't seem to work. 'Enter' and '.' need to work in the targeting interface (after you've selected the right spell); what needs to be disabled is the contextual action that happens if you press 'Enter' or '.' immediately after pressing 'z' and before pressing the key for the spell you actually want to cast. It seems this occurs outside of the targeting interface.

Personally I just dislike the annoying message spam more than the functionality itself but I've had it hidden with Lua for years and never thought to add a proper way to actually disable it (until now!)
