Practicing Spells?

Hi all,

Been playing for awhile and am wondering... is it okay to practice spells? I.e. say, cast "summon butterflies" over and over to gain skill levels in a safe (enough) area? I usually play fighting characters and have realized that, playing magic focused characters, I can just sit around and cast non-targeted spells over and over again to gain levels. The only negative is hunger, though that wouldn't apply to say, vampires or mummies.

Anyway, just wondering if this is something that needs to be fixed, or if it is just a strategy in the game that is fine to take advantage of.

Thanks.

Perhaps you have misunderstood the mechanics. Casting a spell does not increase your success chance. It depends on how much you have trained the relevant school, your intelligence, gods and some other things.

Okay, I just figured it out. I feel dumb; sorry! No gimmick, I did ask the same question awhile ago but for whatever reason never was able to see the post. Ok, I get it now. "/" sort of made sense :-)
