Silver against player ghost?

Silver against player ghost?

Silver items don't appear to effect player ghosts. Something I am missing?

I just read in another thread that silver got neutered so it no longer affects undead in trunk, only "chaotic" beings.

Which, I guess is restricted to only things that change shape (changelings and mimics)?

Or is that chaotic-aligned?

I'd like to know because, you know, VAMPIRES.

Silver now just affects chaotic beings (which includes transformed and mutated players, and doesn't include vampires), yes - it's vaguely themed as being blessed by Zin (as opposed to holy wrath which is blessed by TSO). Chaotic enemies are conveniently marked with (chaotic) when you target them, too.
