In-game spoilers

This is a thread for things that you have had to look up using spoilers that probably should be in the game manual. For those things that a new player to the game would look at and ask "what does that even mean?" So I am not talking about the super spoiliery spoilers like how many hitpoints does such and such enemy have or what exactly the +4 to skill training means.

For me I would like to see some sort of comparison for HP and MP gain between species. Right now all we get is "Trolls are buff" and Sludge elves get less hp then humans. Just having -4 to +4 like we have the skill advancement should be plenty just to see how each stack up here. I remember looking at a helpful spoiler back in 0.5.2 that was on R1's spoiler page:

Also, it is still not obvious what two numbers for weapon bonuses do. With armor you can see the bonus and say, oh that armor is better in some way then this armor. It still doesn't say anywhere in the manual that one number is a bonus to accuracy and one number is a bonus to damage. However, one can figure this out in game by reading the description of scrolls of enchant weapon I and II, but not until you identify it.
