Simple Interface Proposal

Forgive me if the feature I am requesting exists, please, but I cannot find it.

When you press ; while standing over a stack of one item, you are prompted for the number you wish to pick up, which is extremely useful. This feature does not work when there are multiple items on the square, though. When pressing ; if there are more than one, why not first prompt for an item (a la g), and then ask how many? The (seeming) inability to stack everything on one square and then pick how many of which item I want to grab is actually keeping me from ever worshipping Jivya, though I'd like to try.

Re: Simple Interface Proposal

Feature being welcome or not, that's not how you Jiyva.
You Jiyva by asking for jellies every time you kill a bunch of enemies that carried stuff as you hit a new level and then explore said level with nearly no downtime thanks to the constant regeneration you'll be enjoying.
Note that this also means item destruction on the ground is much less than you'd imagine it would be (since you explore that much faster) and indeed since easily 90% of the items that will get eaten wouldn't interest you in the first place.

Anyway, since stashes is what the thing is about, the solution pretty much is to carry your stuff in your backpack and be done with it. This behavior also works pretty well for non-Jiyva games.

Re: Simple Interface Proposal

This does indeed already exist in the pickup menu:
Item letters
Pressing an item's letter key will select the item.
Entering a number before the letter will only select that quantity.

Well, that doesn't work out so well for a character that starts with a 4 str. :) Stash is a must-have.

Oh, so excellent, and thank you! I could not find it, even staring me in the face.

That's a pretty accurate birdie you have there. :) Nice.

I didn't get the "everyone eats normally" part. Are they making everyone gourmand? That would be just peaches.

Re: Simple Interface Proposal

"All non-undead forms can eat and drink normally." means you can eat and use potions as, for example, wisp form or tree form. It was impossible previously.
