Why immolation scrolls do not give any XP when they kill monsters, while holy word scrolls do?

Are you referring to the new immolation scroll (that gives everything the 'inner flame' status) or the old one that just blows up in a large fireball centered on you?

It's true, the only xp gained is for the thing you kill to set off a chain reaction. Everything else killed by the subsequent explosions yields no xp.

Hm, while not explicitly a huge deal, that seems like a bug.

well, killing TRJ with the thing and getting no XP is kinda bad.

I wonder if this is done to get around AI and God behavior. Casting inner flame on an ally generally turns them hostile.

This is pretty much exactly what I was referring to a while back in this thread. I wonder if they are related.
