Cut some demonspawn mutations, re-tier others
1. Cut passive freeze. Tier 3 mutations shouldn't be boring; if they are boring, they shouldn't be weak. Passive freeze is both. By the time you get it, lots of enemies are immune to it and most of the ones who aren't die too fast for it to matter. IMO there are few buzzkills bigger than getting passive freeze instead of robust or augmentation or hurl hellfire.
2. Move negative energy resistance from Tier 3 to Tier 2. Black mark is weak by the time you get it, but it isn't boring. It's distinctive and flavorful. It would be neat if you could get it early enough in the game for it to matter, which you could if it were Tier 2.
(edit) 2'. Alternatively, negative energy resistance could stay Tier 3, but provide full torment immunity at level 3 instead of black mark. Then black mark could form the basis of its own, tier 2 mutation, which imo would be awesome.
3. Move powered by death from Tier 2 to Tier 3. I know I'm hardly the first person to suggest this, but that's because it's obvious. Powered by death is awesome. It should stay awesome; it would be really depressing if it were nerfed into boringness. But it is too awesome for Tier 2. (As a bonus, this would prevent having it and Augmentation at once, which is broken.)
and possibly:
4. Consider adding (a) a body-slot mutation that gives you wings (using up your cloak slot or--with a suitable side benefit--your torso), and (b) a scales slot mutation that gives you extra arms like a Formicid (perhaps at the cost of deformed body).
