So i started another char in trunk .. this time GrBe ... yeah i know i am cheap ...

planned to go demon whip + shield .. found me a manual in a shop for later ...

so far all is good .. now i finally founda shield (grabbed donalds) .. but i cant activate the manual for an XP boost.. did something change in this matter?

It's activated automatically. Just press 'm' (and '*' if needed) and you should see +4 modifier for the skill.
