STR Drop by 2?

I was in the orcish mines, and all of a sudden I became burdened. I looked, and my STR looks like its decreased by 2.

There were no enemies present, and I waited for 100 turns directly after it happened just to check there was nothing attacking me from afar. I was wearing a ring of see invisible.

you can quaff !restore abilities or drop some stuff and wait it out, you have a ton of str

overloaded is the one you need to actually pay attention to, as it stops you from using the stairs.

Jellyfish can attack your strength, and they are common in Lair, but what attacks strength in Orc? Komodo dragons' sickness can cause strength loss, as can some miscast effects and magical contamination. But what in orc?
