Settings to prevent autotravel

So I'm just exploring my merry way with a very promising OpWz, when suddenly:
  Code:
Deactivating autopickup; reactivate with Ctrl-A.
It hits you. It hits you!
It hits you. It hits you.
It hits you!
* * * LOW HITPOINT WARNING * * *
It hits you!
You die...

Now, as I understand it, autotravel does stop when you take a hit (or get a low hitpoint warning; one of the two)
HOWEVER, I have the extremely questionable habit of holding down the 'o' key (thus automatically trying to keep moving), which means that an Op or DE character often suddenly dies whenever an unseen horror happens to spawn before I get sInv. I can't always react fast enough.
This has been a problem for several of my characters, not just the one above.

My question is, is there a setting I can include in my init.txt to prevent me from autotraveling at all when low on health (or to ignore holding down the key)? I think this would help me in more ways than one.
Thanks!

Don't.

Problem solved.

...if you're going to insist, perhaps "force_more_message += It hits you" / "travel_stop_message += It hits you" to stop travel and force a --more-- (preventing further input) under that scenario. Repeat as necessary for other message.

It sounds like you're frustrated by things stopping autotravel too often. There are settings you can play with that alter that behavior. Look in the options guide for info on the runrest_ignore_ options.

When i started playing, I used to rest by letting the "5" button pressed

I had no time to realize an enemy had come, I was already dead

Re: Settings to prevent autotravel

Thank you. Those were all useful suggestions.
I have added the 'force_more_message" line and I am trying to practice only pressing the 'o' key once. I also changed settings so that travel doesn't stop for normal gear, only artefacts and jewellery.
