What's going on trunk right now?

Haven't played DCSS for a few weeks, decided to give it a try now. Started as DeFe and I've noticed new monsters for the vault. I think there were posts about implementing new monsters for the vault, guess it's being tested out right now?

Also I found the Elf:3 loot room inaccessible without flight. From what I hear, that was how the old elf:3 looked like. So it's going back to old layout?

And then I randomly came across 'Moon troll' on the knowledgebot page. So there's a new portal now?

Is there anything else newly added on the latest trunk?

There are new vaults monsters, they seem pretty popular. And deadly!

I think the old Elf:3 vault is still in the system, and hasn't been removed. I could be wrong.

Moon troll isn't a thing, I think that entry is a joke.

Did scroll of unholy creation get removed for scroll of summoning?

Yes. Now it summons 2d2 Shadow Creatures (as the spell, slightly longer duration) instead of a small abomination.

bah they took out 1 handed staves that aren't special, now I can't use a staff of freezing with a shield I liked my 1H staves I miss the Mountain Dwarf class more tho!

I don't have any trouble wielding a staff of cold and wearing a buckler with a high elf in 0.12-a0-3000-g940ff7f

So he meant a quarterstaff of freezing? Yeah, that's a two-handed weapon. There is no staff of freezing these days, and I don't think I ever saw a branded staff. I guess you could have made one.

No, he meant a staff of freezing. Fannar usually carries one.

"Staff" as in that base damage 5 (IIRC?) stick. Yeah Fannar used to have one - I got trolled by it once when I thought I'd get an early staff of cold then realised it's just a useless stick.

Very stable. It really just depends on if you want the new features, for me Cleave and 5-floor Vaults have kept me from revisiting 0.11.
