Does Stabbing work with ranged weapons

Hi
I'm planning a build using a Kobold, and I was wondering if stabbing works also for ranged weapons. It is not 100% clear (at least, to me :D ) looking in on the wiki.

Thanks!

Stabbing only really works well (instant kills against lots of things) with short blades. Even if stabbing does anything at all with ranged weapons it wont do much.

Re: Does Stabbing work with ranged weapons

You can miss a sleeping monster with a bow from one space away in wizmode. You can't ever miss a stab. Not only do you not get bonus damage on unaware monsters with ranged weapons, you don't even get guaranteed hits.

Maybe sleeping monsters have an EV penalty, maybe they don't. I don't know. But it isn't quite the same as stabbing.

Stabbing skill does not interact with ranged attacks.

It's Stabbing, not Sniping. Not getting bonus damage and guaranteed hits is the penalty you pay for not having to get up close and personal.
You fall off the wall. You have a feeling of ineptitude.
