Vampiric brand

Hi

Is the vampiric brand (which Is my favorite) effective on demon and undeads?

if so, I suppose that for extended I should switch to TSO and "holy wrath" my weapon?

Do you agree when I say that it's overpowered?

Thanks

Re: Vampiric brand

It does not affect demons nor undead, nor anything else with negative energy resistance. A weapon of holy wrath would likely serve you better in the extended game, yes.

It's quite strong on the right weapon. Whether it's overpowered is a matter of opinion.

Correction, negative energy resistance reduces the likelihood of the brand working by 1/3 per level of resistance.

Re: Vampiric brand

As far as I know there are no enemies with partial rN though (well I guess they can use rings or an amulet of warding?)

Armor sometimes generates with rN, too.

Re: Vampiric brand

Yesterday I killed ALL the elves from the treasure chamber one by one in a corridor (in fact i teleported into the loot room :) )

Thanks to the vampiric brand (+7+8 scimitar) I was healing faster than they were hurting me. I love it.
