Merfolk Armour

Ok im playing a MeBe and I have a dilemma;
use +2 Mottled dragon armour (AC 19/EV 34/GDR 28%) or
+4 rP+ Splint Armour (AC24/26/GDR 34,29%) or
+2 rC+ Plate Mail (AC 26/EV 24/GDR 39,6%).
I´ve invested 12,5 points in armour and 22,5 in dodging. The GDR of the Plate is kinda tempting but i´m lacking all resistances, except 1 point of rC+ from a Cloak of Cold Resistance +1. It might also affects if I´m putting any more points into Stealth. Atm clearing D20-27 before tackling any Rune branches.
Any help appreciated.

Here´s a snippet of my morgue:

Re: Merfolk Armour

A reasonable rule of thumb for deciding which armour to wear is to look at the sum of your AC and EV and wear the armour that gives you the highest sum.

If you want to account for GDR you can add 1-2 AC to your actual AC total when wearing the plate ... it's a nice bonus, it keeps the damage you take more consistent, but on average it doesn't do as much as you might expect.

Re: Merfolk Armour

Be sure to take note of the fact that the plate has the greatest room to improve, too. Eventually it will approach +10, depending on how many scrolls spawn for you, but the mottled only has a few more points left until you hit the cap for it.

Re: Merfolk Armour

MY Mf usually use mottled dragon armour endgame. it is good vs fire orbs and still lets you have high EV.

offtopic:
your character is looking very strong :D i would grab a Demon trident and a buckler sometime, maybe have TSO bless it into a blessed trishula which is an amazing endgame weapon.

also training up fighting would be good.

Wait, does MDA provide rF+ now? I thought it was just sticky flame.

... and OOFs didn't start sticky flaming dudes, right?

Sigh. I gotta play more.

Could be meaning fire dragon armour. At any rate MDA is completely useless against OoF so yeah.

A bardiche is definitely stronger for this character, too, if you are a merfolk the only reasons to use a demon trident are "I never fonud a bardiche", "I found an amazing shield/demon trident" and "I am putting crazy amounts of exp into (whatever skill) and can't afford the best weapon type for my character."
