Seemingly dead-end situation right on start.

I wonder what you think of this situation?
There are no secret doors as far, as I can tell with my zero skill, and no stairs (see map).
I have no rFire, no blink or tele, no apportation to get items from behind the fire.
Didn't find any scrolls in first chamber either.
Potion you see in inventory is 'of paralisys' and ring 'of cold resistance'.
I did backuped my save and tried to jump through fire while it disappears, but died right away.
Is there ANY way through it, or I should just get out of dungeon? Is this a joke, or a bug?

I guess this is a fault in dungeon-generating algorithm. I don't think you can get out, unless that potion is resistance and you are lucky. I would still try to search for secret door along all walls.

I slept everywhere and didn't find anything.
Then I died of starvation.

if you still have the backed up save, can you turn on wizard mode and magic-map the level?
if you can't do it (i don't know what version you're using) upload it to the bug tracker and someone else will.

I have. And here's the whole map. Still no doors.
I got my trap-searching skill to 27 and didn't find any.
But I've noticed that now this skill named just "Traps", not "Traps and Doors".
So maybe there are no secret doors anymore, and "runed doors" didn't kick in just yet... Or something like that.

Clearly a bug. Please report on mantis (attach the save). Secret doors are gone in trunk, but this seems unrelated.

I believe the starting area was recognized to be disconnected, and an upwards hatch was placed to let you out. Obviously that makes no sense on D:1, so it was converted to an exit (the one you see on the screenshot). Not like that helps.

What's more interesting, in trunk a script was placed to prevent disconnected D:1 generation. So more probably, the game recognized the level as connected, and the fire-zone as perfectly passable, and assumed player can get to any of three downstairs on the level.
Anyway it is clearly a bug and it should be reported.

It has already been fixed by neil. Also, you are right, there was a problem with the connectivity checker.
