Prayer!!

I have been trying unsuccessfully to pray at an altar.
Every time I try to accept a god, I press Y and it fails! Then it tells me i need o press yes or no again. Help?

Maybe you need to do shift-Y?

Yaks are really, really, dangerous for young crawlers, and seeing on on level 6, while not out of depth, is certainly cause to flee.

My first Yak death occurred because I was thinking "so, I've killed a Ogre, a Manticore, and a Phantom; surely I can take a simple yak..."

Yeah, I was confused as to why a Yak was more powerful then some demons until I realized just how strong a real Yak actually was.

That's what stairs are for. Wands/bolts of fire/cold are good too.

Another nooby question- how to you toggle auto pick up? I hitt al of my buttons trying to find out what they did, and turned it off. ><
