One of my ! characters, found a good ring mail, 5 poisoned javelins , dagger of Venom, 15 darts of dispersal so reaching the temple wasn't hard. Now I can't decide what route to take, have several plans

1) Go armored necro route via Kiku
2) Okwaru, switch to long blades, spam might, enjoy gifts, hope for the book of war chants
3) Makhleb, HP for killing is a good thing for DE, servants against everything to powerful

I would recommend Okawaru because weapon/armor gifts are great, and Might is surprisingly useful (greatly boosts melee damage and costs very little piety).

The downside is that you get no spellcasting power like you would from Kiku, but with heavy armour it will be very difficult to cast even spells like Dispel Undead.
