4 Oklops blocking a vital point.

I'm playing a lvl 11 MiBe, I'm at Lair 1.

After clearing the level, I find 4 oklops blocking the only stairs down to Lair 2. So how do I take 4 of them on, if at all possible?

Relevant offensive resources at my disposal:
- 2 wands of fire.
- 1 wand of cold.
- 1 potion of invis.
- Brothers in arms if necessary.
EDIT: And zerking ofc.

Defenses:
- +2 Platemail.
- +3 AC ring.
- +1 Cloak (was +2 but I got blasted as soon as I opened the door) = AC 22 in total.
- 2 Potions of healing.
- Trogs Hand is necessary.

Thanks you in advance for any advice :)

I would quaff the invis potion, then summon brothers and let them go to town. The potion should keep you safe. Don't berserk yourself, however.

Alternatively, summon, summon, summon, step into LOS, sic em, step out and listen to the fireworks since you won't be close enough to watch. In my experience, this often works with getting anywhere from zero to one shot of acid at me.

The Invis potion will let you sneak by them for now. But getting back through...

Well, you are not the first to encounter this:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=170&p=44507&hilit=oklob#p44507

There was at least one other post where someone complained about this.

Getting some Brothers in Arms and drinking !Invisibility should be enough to deal with the oklobs, but beware if the invisibility runs out...

EDIT: A wand of polymorph other will also help, transforming the oklobs into mushrooms IIRC

Thank for the advice all.

Went invis and summoned two brothers, they took care of it without me even lifting a finger :D

Then I met a dragon a bit further down, forgot my ring of rF and got fried.. But still, thank you for the help.

Re: 4 Oklops blocking a vital point.

In the future, bear in mind a few other often forgotten options:
1.) Wand of Polymorph Other.
2.) Orb of Destruction
3.) Strip before attacing with ranged stuff.

Re: 4 Oklops blocking a vital point.

Orb of Destruction typically isn't available by the time you're trying to get into Lair 2, let alone castable. ESPECIALLY if you're a berserker, as the OP was.

Stripping before attacking anything acidic is suicidal. You take extra damage for each open slot you have. If you want to go that route, grab some junk armor or a few artefacts you don't like but have laying around and wear those.
