Lightning: still tag you're it?

I read somewhere here that lightning only hits once or twice, but the wiki speaks of it as ripping "through whole rows of creatures." Just curious which is accurate, or whether re enemies wearing Acme Stainless Steel Armor are a special case. ;)

1. Lightning hits all the creatures in a row.
2. Lightning can't hit the SAME creature more than twice.

With the proper type of walls you CAN bounce the bolt to hit an enemy twice, but I think 3 isn't possible anymore.

Not that you should spend time seeking a tri-zap, but if you run across one, it will increase the chance of getting both hits in, especially on a high-EV monster.
Human kind cannot bear very much reality.
