What's in the vault?

Found this menacing little vault with an iron golem. On D8! I think this is my personal record as far as OOD monsters go...

I think he's standing on an altar, but it's a little hard to see. I'm assuming there's a hidden room in the back, since there's room for it, and there's no way an altar alone merits that much protection.

Anyone seen this vault before? Know what's in the back room (or if there is one)? Is it worth luring the slow thing away and sneaking in with my Spriggan speed? I was planning to just return and stab him, much later. Screenshot taken a bit back, I'm lv 16 and in the swamp now, but I'm pretty sure at this point a stab attempt would still be suicide by iron golem.

Iron golems are very slow, no? I'm assuming that even if you can't take it you can just lure it to a different part of the map and loot whatever may lie there.

I've found an Iron Golem guarding a Cheiribos altar before, which seemed kinda ironic.

Dealt with the iron golem on my way to elf. Couldn't sneak up on him, even invisible. So I took him out in mele with my quickblade and might. It was way too inaccurate to hit me.

Loot was a scroll of immolation and bread. :p
