I've collected the first 5 runes and cleared Zot 1-4, feeling pretty strong and I might try extended. I tried once a few years ago and died due to overconfidence, so I don't have much experience. My main concern is that trying Formicid for my first extended win may not be the best idea. Do you guys think I should go for it, or do you think it makes more sense to just accept the 5 rune win and try extended with an easier species?
If I do go extended, which god should I use? Switching from Lugonu is a bit scary as that gets rid of all my escape options. Also, any thoughts on what I should skill or learn for spells? List of spellbooks below.
