Right, those were just guesses. Most gods as far as I know give some extra benefit for getting to six stars. Is that simply not the case with Wu Jian?

Many gods cap out at 5*. A few give you a special gift you can only use once at 6*, but not by any means all of them.

You can look at it this way: the benefit of being at 5* means you have a lot of piety in the bank. Using Heavenly Storm consumes piety. For gods with active abilities that require piety, it's a resource pool in addition to an indicator of rank. So 6* means you've got a lot of resources.

Similarly to Cheibriados, there's no new abilities at 6*. The main benefit is you know that you can use heavy penalty abilties like slouch at least several times before you hit 5*.

Technically for chei the final point of +stats comes right at the border of 6*, but there's still 40 more points over that which don't do anything.
