Has there been a change to LRD?

I'm playing an EE after a long break, and now on 0.21 it seems that it has lost its randomness in the blast area. On stone, rock and metal walls you get a blast radius of exactly one around the target, no matter whether the target shatters or not. In some way this is a nerf, as the increase in radius on shattering the target was always very gratifying, but on the other hand the increased predictability of the blast radius makes the spell now much easier to use, and I appreciate that a lot.

Actually, no. I can't reach the changelog right now because of Internet restrictions in my country. So I thought I'd ask here. So is there a change in there?

Simplify LRD explosion damage and size

Make each material type have a fixed damage and size, and don't increase
damage or size on a cast that destroys a monster or wall. Adjust metal walls
to have a fixed chance of destruction once above the power threshold, as alli
other wall types already had (instead of a power-based chance - simplifying
these further across the board would probably be good).

Yeah this was a straight up nerf to LRD, not only was the extra explosion size removed, but the extra damage for destroying stuff was outright removed with no compensation.

It overall makes high power LRD much worse than it used to be (By as much as 40%, although I'd guess something more like 10% on average, I don't feel like sitting down and figuring out the actual damage change, there's lots of variables involved.)

There's an upside; when using it early while you're fragile, it has a consistent radius so you can use it on adjacent enemies without accidentally hitting yourself or your allies.

After spectating how new Earth/Necro spell kills Hellions and Tormentors in a single cast, I don't think LRD should be buffed to compensate.

Why? What has changed? Do deep trolls no longer have LRD?
