Does anyone know what the punishments are for leaving Ashenzari?

As of recent trunk builds, monsters get an AI boost (better pathfinding, knowing where you are when invisible, never forgetting about you). I don't think anything decreases the penance yet either so that'll just happen forever, until proper wrath is implemented.

Speaking of Ash, is he still bugged so that being at highest piety with him crashes the game?
