Good uses of search
Search keywords that work in Crawl which you might not have known about, as well as good things to search for that might not have occurred to you.
corpse
food
weapon/armour
polearm
branded
throwable
stick (finds all Sticks to Snakes reagents)
necromancy (finds books with Necromancy spells)
MR+
rElec
+2 (implied "or better")
in_shop
Also keep in mind that search has both a travel and an examine interface, so for example you can remotely check what your % success rate is with Shatter before traveling back to where it's stashed.
