When you are in a shop you can "add item to shopping list" pressing the capital letter of the object you are insterested, for example A, C, and so on.
How do you see later this shopping list?

Yes, '$' then read the menu help (at the top, IIRC) for help in managing (examining, traveling to, removing, etc) things on the list.
