Extremely dangerous ghost can hit for up to 1 damage

Ok, how dangerous is this ghost, really? It has 6 plusses of EV, but can only hit for "up to 1 damage". If it had spells I would see them, right?

I suspect the description came about because of the ghost, compared to yours, and its speed.

This looks like the right morgue. The ghost is wielding a blowgun and can fire poison? maybe curare? maybe switch to the +5 elec dagger? I have no idea how ghosts work but i'm sure difficulty rating is based on HD/XL otherwise every speed 10 melee monster would be trivial and this guy wouldn't have tried to engage an orc priest with his 44 hp spriggan firing poison needles.

Yes difficulty rating is related to xl, ghosts can't shoot, or switch weapons (indeed they don't have a slot for a theoretical back up weapon)

I would think, at a minimum, ghosts should be generated with the nastiest melee weapon the player died with in hand, regardless of what they actually had equipped.

there goes my dream of hardcore pvp ghost invades. what's even the point of ghosts if i can't get my Fe one shot by a CeHu ghost walking around a corner.

you can always oneshot people with CeFe ghosts; monster fireball does 3d13 damage at HD 5

It doesn't matter how much int or spell skills or enhancers the ghost had? Just HD and that fail rate was under 50%?

Ghosts: a quality gameplay mechanic. If you really want to ruin someone's day (and probably get server banned for griefing) you can set up a CeCK bot that doesn't switch away from the starting spear of chaos. You could modify it further to maximize the number of ghosts left on early dungeon floors by intentionally suiciding if another ghost is found or if the bot reaches some cutoff floor without dying.This setup can quickly ruin whatever server it's playing on by leaving a high number of fast, durable, and extremely lethal earlygame ghosts. Automatically restarting the bot allows this method to minimize hands-on time so that you can get back to your busy life of shitposting in cyc and eating Whataburger patty melts.

I am sure the CeCK approach of hellmonk is effective, but for the caveman griefer with no access to crawl playing robots, a TrWz with a spell list consisting of slow and mephitic cloud dropped in the first available timed portal is quick and effective for manual ghost trolling. This small-batch, artisanal approach is guaranteed to produce amusing TermTVs.

another good way to troll someone is to get a water bottle and put a penny under it and tell them to look into the water bottle and then while their head is over the water bottle, you shoot them in the face with your gun
